Alko assistance
When I connected the caravan to my car today I couldn't get a Green light. As soon as I connected to the socket I heard the Alko make the normal noises but no green light .... disconnected and tried again but still no light. Any ideas of how to resolve . Thanks

Just had same fault on our Coachman and it was the LED needed replacing.

The title of the link looks wrong but hopefully it will take you to the right place. When you see a new one it's obvious how water can get in, so I added a bit of mastic to the sleeve that joins the LED to it's wiring.

When ours. failed, our dealer told us that it’s a very common fault. The LED is sealed in to a sealed on cable. Replacements consist of 1M length of wiring loom with a plug on the end. There are two stylise of replacement, with different plugs. If you get the wrong one then the wires can be joined where it’s dry under the van floor, instead of plugging the replacement in.

The point where failure occurred on ours wasn't at the plug but the section immediately below the LED. Water was able to get inside the sleeve covering the join between the LED and the cable and rot the two wires that come out of the LED. A bit of a surprise really, because apart from when towing it's always covered by a hitch cover.
