Damp caravan
hi hoping someone can give me some advice we had our 2 year old caravan serviced yesterday and our man found 80 precent damp lowest reading 40 precent in front room 30 precent on bathroom wall the rest of the floor is very bad with delamination and front windows are warped it as been back for repair of damp in front room before they had to put demidifier in van for few days and also been back for windows before service man said its one of the worst his seen in his opinon it needs a complete new floor my wife and I have lost faith in the van thanks mick

It sadly happens are you are in their hands, happened to us on our 4th service on the last van. And yes you do lose faith.
I assume it will be covered under warranty? While it is hopefully it won't cost you anything to fix, but once out you may want to change?

I would play merry Hell! What van is it Mick? Reminds me of our problem a few years ago. Van needed repairing and had to go into the dehumidifier shed. To cut a long and very painful story short, we lost the whole season due to someone else’s fault- ie- bad build quality! It keeps happening and as someone said in a post the other day, when no one buys their vans from British manufacturers because the build quality is crap, maybe then something will change! Don’t hold your breath!!

Based on our experience with two damp vans unfortunately there is a high chance that the problem will keep recurring. Get it fixed under warranty and trade it in. A dealer will do a damp test which will pass OK and he won’t ask about the history. Regrettably, some member of the public will buy it from the dealer and down the line will have a damp problem outside of the warranty.
