Morris dancers and twitchers come together. What a fabulous experience we had listening to the ethereal churring and watching the fanciful courtship flight of these truely wonderful, rare and elusive birds. The nightjars of North Yorkshire that is, just a short drive from a couple of CaMC sites. Well worth the time! We saw and heard them several years ago and have been haunted by the experience ever since!

Fabulous birds always thrilled to hear them.  We are fortunate to have them about 20 miles from us.

Yes, 1P, we've traveled the world, well a little, in search of those awesome experiences but this one is up with the best including our latest Quetzel encounter!

Also found just off Exeter racecourse site and the CCC Delamere site in Cheshire. We've also seen them at Thetford.

You are right Micky, it is a wonderful experience hearing the churring.

Dunwich Heath is another place to hear/see them.
