Lidl, Sainsburys and Berry Brothers and Rudd locally
Seriously though. There is a super vineyard / brewery in the Hambleden Valley twixt Marlow & Henley, so handy for Henley Four Oaks CAMC site or the Cholsey Grange CL. Luxters is the name, amongst other things they brew beer specifically for Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh.
They do a lovely tour too.
First knew them from the Winter Ale served in the Stag and Hunstman (spelled correctly) in Hambleden in the 70s, well before the village was overrun by that Russel Brand bloke
The Hunter Valley in New South Wales has some lovely old vineyards.
Marlborough Region on New Zealands South Island is good too.
Bergerac region of France. A lovely vineyard twixt Bordeaux and Biscarrose le Plege is memorable. Champagne region too.

Following Keefie's useful comment - Tesco when they have 25% off a purchase of 6 or more bottles. However, the Alsace region has some lovely wines. If we are feeling flush St Emillion offers some excellent choices as do the Corbiere and St Chinian regions. One of our favourite inexpensive white wines is Picpoul from the area near Meze on the Languedoc coast. But as AD says if you are bringing back some wine get decent stuff over there, we find that once you get over the 10 euro price you open up a wide selection of pretty good wine. A visit to local we makers makes for a great day out. Sadly we have found UK wines, as good as they are, quite expensive.

Most definitely the Rhone. From Croze Herimatage in the north. To Beaumes de Venise, Vacqueyras and Gigondas further south in the shadow of the Dentelles de Montmirail ridge. To name but a few of the sub regions. The cave at Beaumes de Venise is well worth a visit. Plenty of wines to taste and by.

Of course it was supposed to be buy, I was timed out. Beaumes de Venise also produce a famous sweet Muscat white as well as some excellent reds and rose.

I think that we have been to every wine region in France but the Rhône takes some beating. We generally avoid “Caves” because supermarkets have the best deals but we have bought quite expensive wine boxes which are fantastic value as the VAT (TVA) is much lower. We have drunk a 10 Euro bottle of wine then bought the exact same in a box from the negociant for the equivalent of 3.50 E.
I love Pinot Noir so Beaune is very compelling but French Pinot is just too expensive and 20 E plus per bottle lus is not an everyday wine. The Pinots of Central Otago, New Zealand, are sensational and much better value if you are in the area.
We enjoy Alsace and there is a wine merchant in Obernai that sells a relatively dry Reisling of a type that you can’t really get in Germany.
Italian wine is overpriced in Italy although we drink loads at home. Haven’t yet found a particular region where you can get good moderately priced wine and supermarkets are expensive. Generally we have bought better at the campsite shop.

Mosel wine. Fresh, light and refreshing at around 30 euro a bottle for the local bottled Erdener Treppchen from wine cellars or 5 euro for a ltr bottle of standard Mosel from the site shop,
