A word of caution for some. We went to book 4 nights in mid April at the club's Englethwaite Hall site on line today and when checking the price it showed a total of £71.60, when it should have been £56, as indicated in the price details. I phoned up HO Site Bookings and they quoted the advertised price of £14 pn, so we booked and have a received a booking confirmation for the dates at a total of £56. I appreciate that others will just accept the total price shown on confirmation of booking but wonder if they get a pleasant surprise on arriving on site and have to pay less than the one they expect to pay.

What did Head Office say when you told them about the website error.  I assume they are going to refer it as a matter of urgency?

they must be...the Cotswolds 'well after Easter' (in my book, 8th-12th April is well after....) is still regarded as Peak....right upto 15th...

M-in-M is, in fact, slightly more 'auric' for the same dates......£32.80 a night for two....

...however, we want to go there, so not complaining about prices....

...and we have to be in the uk for another few weeks before getting back to the real world....wink

I seem to recall mistakes last year on website prices, doubt they will be the last! Well spotted Nellie.

True, TDA. I had quite a discussion with HO last year when I discovered a similar discrepancy in the BA pricing.

David, I ask the assistant at the booking centre to report the error, but without doing a trial booking there's no way of knowing if those responsible at HO have done anything about it.

It's a bit like the Great Savings Guide search still saying 2017 and Hillhead Entertainment Lists also 2017. Somebody should be checking but I think they've gone on a long holiday....wink

Thanks Nellie.  Let's hope they will sort it out.  I haven't checked out Englethwaite Hall, but the ones I have been looking at myself all add up.  I made a point of checking after your post.  I'll take a look later on in the week and if I can replicate it I'll report it too.

I found a tick missing from list recently and reported it to the website people.  To get one little tick put in involved checking and amending quite a bit of feeding information, so these things don't always appear to be a quick fix.  We'll see how Englethwaite Hall thing pans out.  Thanks for reporting it.

I've just checked it tonight with a similar booking to the one I tried, David, and it would appear that they've sorted it. For them that was quick!!

    Hi all

I can confirm that the on-line pricing has been rectified at Englethwaite Hall.

When we publicise new prices there is always the possibility of a couple of amendments as every single price is set by (and input onto the system by a human being) and there can be the odd error.

Please accept our apologise for the original error.

    Thanks

    Helen

Thanks Helen. I just wonder how many others booked and just accepted the incorrect price. It just goes to show that one should check the amount charged as well as the booked dates in the confirmation email.
