Rutland caravan and camping site
well just left this site today, hence not happy, paid £30 per night for electric hook up pitch with awning. Friday got no electric, The site staff said they had problems and were trying to get emergency generator going. No luck. Saturday electric went off 7 times while we were in, not sure how many times while we were out, staff said generator had gone up in smoke and they were trying to fix problem. Not very good, staff didn’t even put out signs or make any attempt to apologise when I left today. Site advertises swimming at £4 adult and £2.50 children but omits to state this fee is for half an hour. Also the roadway into site is very badly flooded and needs urgent attention. Also the showers were mainly running cold. Been touring and using caravan club sites for over 25 years and must say this is the worst experience we have had on club sites. Apparently this site is family run, well the staff were not very good I am very sorry to say, and didn’t seem to know how to run a site. This site also has play area for small children but it has safety issues as the slides and the children’s play house is not sucured to ground and the bigger children were damaging them and taking them apart. Wouldn’t recommend this site until it has sorted out the problems, electric has been a problem for quite some time according to other people who were on site with us
