Tyre Inflation and Fix & Go pump
checking tyre pressures on a MH can be a pain....supermarket units aren't often man enough, also a pain to get a large vehicle in a queue when busy, etc...
I have been using my local man at National Tyres but again can be a pain, it's all a bit tight there, and busy....so I really wanted to be able to do it at home on the drive....
so, I decided to check out my Fix & Go system that came with the van (I actually have two but ...) and reading up I discovered it has two output tubes....one to inject the Goo into the tyre and the second to 'restore pressure'...
all you do is turn the 'master knob' to pressure and use like a normal 12v inflator...
as its especially designed for MHs, it is really meaty (German) and is calibrated to 100 psi...
i was only looking to get to just over half that so I thought I'd test it out, firstly on the car which only needed 30 psi...worked fine....
so, off we went on the van....absolutely no issues, easy to operate and clear pressure scale.....
so, if you want to check MH tyre pressures at home (or even in storage as its 12v) and you have a Fix & Go system, the pump will be upto the job....
just remember not to attach the clear pipe (for Goo), it's the black one....and to ensure the 'master knob' is set for 'restore pressure' not 'inject Goo'
good luck...
ps.....I have no idea how good this stuff is for punctures....
