Arrival times. Even the club get it wrong!

Well it is quite difficult to grasp the twist and turns of some of your statements to be honest, BB. So this site with its arrival time of 2pm is more accommodating than a club site with its arrival time of midday because they let you arrive at .... er .... midday?
No, I have to admit I'm completely stumped by that logic. Never mind, I shan't lose sleep over it.

I don't keep notes BB. That might not be obvious but I do in fact rely on memory which, in my case, is far from perfect. I had though that you had previously argued that the 'clun' should make the carpark available to other free spirits such as your self in order that they could arrive late, avoid paying the same fee as others due to not having EHU, visit places of interest on the way and park 'cheek by jowl' with like minded individuals. I was obviously suffering from my usual poor memory as you are saying that you want to arrive early.

no, you've lapsed I'm afraid Alan....
as a 'free spirit', i want to arrive when I want to arrive
i don't want an arbitrary arrival time, not at all if possible, but certainly not out of season.
i realise this isn't possible everywhere, so I abide by the rules but am happy to chat to the supplier to check what is possible.
a separate desire is that the club considers the impact of rising campervan numbers and what their touring habits might be and where the club can provide additional service offerings to accommodate them.
totally seperate.
im a selfish customer, I've seen how things can work (differently) at other places and want that flexibility everywhere.
however, I realise this isn't possible but it doesn't stop me wanting top service and flexibility everywhere I tour..
PS....the 'notes' reference wasn't to you

Well, BB, you ask how many CC sites allow early arrivals and I have no idea, but the one that we are on at the moment have allowed 2 units to pitch up at about 10:30, just as we were heading out. Perhaps the members phoned up to ask for an early arrival or maybe they are just friends of the wardens!

No need for anyone to "take notes" at all BB, if one reads other's posts carefully, no matter how many times they make the same point!
Have you ever tried ringing a club site in low season and asking if they'd be happy for you to arrive early? I sometimes do when I visit the Cotswold sites in low season and am usually told that, say, 11 o'clock would be OK, which is fine by me as I'm unlikely to get even to Cirencester before then. Try it next time you stay on a club site - you might be pleasantly surprised!

I would have thought that anyone looking for change is wanting something that isn't available?

I thought in this thread we were talking about earlier (no) specific arrival times?

I thought it was about the club not knowing what it was talking about with arrival times at Seacroft. 🤔
