I own a Swift Celebration 518 2016 and have recently had the caravan serviced by a Mobile Service Enterprise.

He reported to me that my caravan has got a problem relating to the axle and suspension unit. Both of the tyres are worn on the inside edges to about 30mm.His comment was a discrepancy within the axle suspension.

He showed me a image of the suspension arm with one of wheels of. The arm was horizontal and not inclined.

Have got in touch with dealer and the first comment I had was " The caravan has been overloaded" and as such not covered by warranty.

I am not accepting that unjustified explanation as there is only the two of us using the caravan and all we carry is a small awning and the usual accessories that any normal couple would take on holiday.

Has anyone else had problems like this on a fairly new caravan who may offer  advice

There are lots of threads about Alko suspension failures - and it seems to be a common answer that the 'caravan has been overloaded'.  However, most of them seem to be related to the caravan being lower at one side than the other, almost always to the side where all the heavy equipment is situated.

Here's one of the previous posts which relates to a Bailey caravan:  https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/information-technical-tips-advice/caravans/al-ko-axle-suspension-failure-bailey/

(and I think there are links within that thread taking you to others, but if you google Alko Axle failure or Alko Suspension failure you will find that lots of other caravanners are apparently also considered guilty of 'overloading their caravan'!!

get this clubs legal dept involved and if no joy take it to trading standards. expose the dealer on every social media site. we all need to start fighting back against the manufacturers and dealers.
