I have been having a problem with my motor movers stopping an starting. I have taken off the battery to get it tested and found that the negative terminal was loose .could this be the problem or am I looking at something more serious? I would welcome members views

Did tightening the terminal help? Sounds to me like you've found the fault 😊

May I suggest replacing the battery and trying it as you could well have found the fault. Testing it could well be pointless so why not give it a try first and you may save yourself the bother.

S1, sounds to me as if you have found your problem, ie, loose connection.

While you have space, I would check all screws holding the battery clamps on, also clean them and the battery terminals and when connected, smear them with petroleum jelly....... Good lucksmilecool

Sorry - only just seen this post.  I had exactly the same problem - tested battery - was "on its way out" according to the dealer.  However, the problem continued with the new battery.  Powrtouch sent their engineer out and within a couple of minutes of arriving, he found that the nut on the negative terminal - connecting the two control boxes (it's an AWD version) was loose.  According to the engineer it is a common problem.  Quick tighten up with the spanner and all was well.
