What outfit do you have?
Hai all
I remember a couple of years ago someone started a thread about what outfit people had. I found it quite interesting and I know some of us have changed since then so I will start off.
2018 Lunar Cosmos 544 towed by a 2009 Volvo V70. This is our new out fit as we recently went back to caravnning after 4 years with a motorhome.

2015 Bailey Barcelona and 2015 VW Touareg Escape - both from new - absolutely no faults with the VW and only a few minor 'warranty issues' with the van so we are well pleased with our choice. Was thinking of changing the van this year but don't like what Baileys have done with the inside of the U4 and none of the other manufacturers have anything which appeals very much, so think we will stick with what we have for now. Extremely pleased with the Treg as a towcar - every bit as good if not better than previous Discos and its performance off-road is just as awesome

The 2007 Abbey Vogue 470 and 09 Kuga went as a complete outfit last September and has been replaced with a 2016 Marquis Majestic MH which is currently being personalised with a few little tweaks.

Hi
So, outfits, being a club warden we live on site in a vintage 2006 swift conqueror twin axle with a massive 3.5 meter awning, nice living space. We also have a small PVC, an autocruise rhythm, brilliant for days off and bombing down to Spain where we spend our winters. There, we have a huge American fifth wheel rv which is on an annual season plot. Loads of space in an rv but no awning. I do hate that canvas!

Our caravan is old compared to these.
Bailey Senator Louisiana from 2006. We bought it in 2012 (having gone to buy a new aerial). We sat in it and thought "YES" - this is us and paid a deposit. Twin axle, L shape lounge and island bed at the back. Since then we're never seen anything we liked better, and as we can't get away much, we're hanging onto it.
We tow with a Landrover Disvovery 4 from 2012, that we bought in 2014. I think/know my husband fancies a new one, but the Financial Controller (aka me) is putting her foot down.
We have a Bradcot Aspire Air awning - the smaller one, but it's big enough for a table and chairs and clutter.
A few pictures.

We have a Hymer B774 only had it two years and it took us that long to find it ! glad we took our time as we both love it. We have adapted the two single beds to make a big double bed by fixing a piece of board in between, piece of mattress type foam on top, then make the bed up as usual, we do sometimes leave it made up but I prefer it looking neat and tidy during the day so making it up every night really doesn't bother me. There is of course the drop down bed which OH loves but I feel a bit claustrophobic in it. Goldie you must give me some tips on how you manage to control the husband oops sorry the finances as the OH can't stop spending on it

2013 Coachman Laser 640 that we bought nearly 2 yrs ago, we only went to have look having seen one as a brand new model at the Manchester CC show, but as it had obviously rarely been used we bought it. Towed effortlessly by an 07 R Class Merc bought nearly 6 yrs ago.

Bailey Unicorn Valencia 2018 with a 2015 VW Tiguan. Tiguan was an ex demo, bought at 5 months old with 4k miles on clock. Valencia is new, we were hunting for a 2015 Valencia for about a year, and then Bailey bought out the new design, which we much prefer, and as the price was only £4K more, for a new van with full warranty compared to a 3 year old van, we snapped it up. Mind you, we will definitely keep the van a few years so we get our moneys worth !!

A 2011 Bailey Unicorn Madrid which we tow with a 2016 Volvo XC60 D5 Auto. The van suits us as we tour for 2/3rds of the year and we like the side dinette, the large shower/wash room and the two wardrobes. Not interested in a fixed bed van and haven't seen a new van with the space of our present one, so sticking with it.

2015 Adria Isonzo, towed by 2014 Kia Sorento Auto.
To say I'm impressed with van is an understatement! Having had many different models over the years, all with faults & damp etc etc, spent nearly 2 years researching and visiting caravan dealers/shows/forums etc before parting with my very hard-earned cash. The Club's Design Award winner in 2015 made up my mind.
For me the perfect van would need to have the interior designed in UK, but built by Adria.

Mine's a 2015 Lunar Eclipse 17/4 (Quasar 524 dealer special) towed by a 2015 automatic Mondeo Titanium Estate. Caravan used as a 2 berth so I have removed the upper bunk bed and given myself an extra 15kg payload. Outfit tows like a dream and, so far, no major problems (due for its third year service in 3 weeks time).

2017 Swift Elegance 650 towed by a 2014 VW Touareg R/Line which is new to us, just wish i had changed earlier. Photo shows us on (Cold weather training) at Clumber Park. First Swift, we have had and compared to the Elddis Crusader we had before it's a godsend.

It seems like there are a few of us on here towing with Volvos. We only got our V70 in October bought specifically to tow the new van and so far we are very impressed with it. It is the 2.0 litre diesel model but has more than enough power and tows comfortably also very comfy and has plenty of room in the boot.

We went into a caravan dealer for a waste bin and came out having exchanged our Lunar 524, which didn't have one for a Lunar Clubman SB, which also doesn't have a waste bin but does have very comfortable beds.We tow with a Volvo XC70 2.4 litre auto which is a pleasure to drive.
