Sky tv in a static

Hi all, I have a static in milnthorpe and have installed a sky dish, which works spot on with my sky + hd box, but as the kids are getting older they want sky in there rooms and it' looking like best option  will be sky q and am wondering will the main sky q box still work if I take it away with us at weekends, thanks in advance
