Given that the facility was already in place when the club purchased the site..it makes good business sense to improve the dining and indeed the overall site experience. Likewise with the recently completed hard standing fully serviced pitch area..Both of these improvements will be greatly attractive to the new generation (and many existing) CaMC members.  The next stage (and i hope it will not be too long) would be to make all pitches into fully serviced/hardstanding with chem disposal (as in Chatsworth layout), ethernet connection/sat tv...There are several sites on the network that could easily be upgraded to this model...

Here's a very damming report on a Facebook Group from a couple who ate at this restaurant.  I should add that they were extremely complimentary about the actual site and it's staff.

    Seacroft CAMC site.

    ...

Well, where do I start? We arrived last night and were greeted by very friendly bar staff. After a couple of drinks at the bar we made our way to a table and had a look at the menu. It looked very nice, but quite pricey. No matter we do a like a decent meal and don’t mind paying for it. As long as it was all fresh cooked then we would be happy. I’ve added a photo of the menu.

Now, it’s important to remember that me and ***** never complain. Never. If we aren’t happy with a meal then we simply don’t return, but for the first time in 8 years not only did we complain but we sent the food back as well. In fact I sent mine back twice.

The pizza was no word of a lie a Chicago town frozen pizza! It was glaringly obvious especially if you are quite partial to a Chicago town pizza anyway! I’m sorry but I refuse to pay £12 for a frozen pizza. The waiters response was initially that we were wrong and it was fresh but after checking with the kitchen it turns out we were right. “It’s a frozen pizza enhanced with fresh ingredients” I don’t thing he could believe it himself!

And the burger I had. After I had made an attempt to eat the undercooked soggy chips then I had a go at the burger. I’m pretty sure it mooed and made an attempt to run away! It was stone cold and raw in the middle. It made me feel ill after and I’ve still got a delicate stomach this morning. It was recooked and returned to me but I couldn’t bring myself to try the second one. Im sure it was fine but by that point I’d lost interest in eating anything made in that kitchen.

So all in all a massive let down, and bearing in mind our usual favourite site is 2 mins down the road from here and we have yet to have a bad meal there we won’t be returning here for a while.

It’s a shame, this site has all the makings of a winner, but was let down by overcharging and then failing to deliver.

But the beer was spot on, and the staff have been fantastic. Even when we complained last night they couldn’t of handled it any better. Fingers crossed they iron out the issues before the summer season starts.

Turns out the desserts are really good. Cooked tonight then wandered over for dessert.

I can also confirm the beer is still ok as well. Thought for the purpose of a fair review I’d better double check. The things I do for you lot.

Having sampled the food at all of the three club sites which provide such a facility I can only add that the food is of a basic bar meal style. However any food served which is not as described or inadequately cooked etc should be returned to the kitchen. I think the food standards are improving, previously vegetables rarely appeared (except for Sunday carvery meals.) The club isn't offering gourmet food but it should meet the quality and description as advertised.

Always a shame when you are unhappy with a meal in a restaurant of any variety but as Brue says it needs to be dealt with there and then, a bit pointless complaining on a Facebook page unless it's the Club one? Having said that we have eaten in the restaurant twice now on two separate visits and been happy with our meals. Even better the wine is a reasonable price!!!

Stay away from pub grub and it's ilk, find a pub where the chef actually prepares all the meals to order, factory fodder is not for me only gives you indigestion.

Too many really good CL's in North Norfolk for me to bother with Seacroft, so we won't be eating their any time soon.
