In honour of world book day today, if you were snowed in your caravan or motorhome, what book would you choose for companion and why?

Douglas Adams' Hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy.

I've ready it many times and, although it's a bit dated now, it still makes me laugh.

OK, I know it didn't start life as a book, but it did become one!

Just the thing for planning some exotic, distant trips 🤔

Well in York we are very nearly snowed in, so to take our minds off frozen water and waste pipes I have a few random books with me. A PG Wodehouse "Wooster" story, a Pepys biography,  a Jorvik archaeology book, some crossword/puzzle books and a loaded kindle.

Apart from the tribulations of snow we are having a great time here, York is unusually empty, we have worked our way round various eating establishments (no queues!) Museums, two goes on the Yorvik experience (second one free) Tim Peake's space capsule....I could go on.... smilewink

At present I'm reading Camilla Lakenberg's Buried Angels but have Hilary Mantel 's Wolf Hall to have a go at.

Mrs WN has her nose stuck in a Sarah Hawkswood book at the moment so that's a no go area for the next couple of hours.
