Sad day, but worth it
So the Jeep Grand Cherokee is off the road, waiting for a spruce up, and put up for sale.
She has been replaced with a Kuga Titanium sport (180) and I totally love it!....
I have really enjoyed my 6 years with the Jeep, its done everything I`ve asked of it.
And with only 82000 miles it sure to make some other owner a happy person.
So in memory of the old girl, I shall not be changing my user name.

One of our neighbour's has just bought a GC SRT. An awesome 6.4 litre V8 beastie.

But you cannot fit a towbar on a SRT !!!
twin centre exhaust pipes dontcha know......

Ha ha, he isn't worried. He bought a nice motorhome last year, and.......he doesn't tow the boat anywhere!
Such a nice chap, has a serious amount of money. A workaholic as well, we keep telling him to chill out and enjoy himself.

As our neigbour an AA supervisor has always said the only diference in bad weather like snow and ice between a normal car and a Chelsea tractor is that in an accident with the 4x4 its more spectacular as most are only fitted with normal road tyres

I too have a Kuga (180) and am pretty impressed. Bought it last September and towed with it for the first time a couple of weeks ago. It pulled the Senator easily. When towing the economy isn’t great, at around 24mpg, but solo I’ve managed to eke out 52mpg on the motorway, which for such a large car with oodles of power is pretty good, I reckon. Well equipped with lots of features coupled with good comfort levels, there’s a lot to like.

Since swapping to a MH, I do miss my Kuga. Although I like the MH ease of setup, it is hardly a "transport of delight".

I have changed from a Santa Fe to a Kuga 180 Power shift. It seems to pull the 'van just the same and no problem with the reduce power and torque. At the moment travelling around Europe find that the fuel consumption is good. On one trip towing from Croatia to Lake Garda the fuel consumption was around 28 mpg on a trip of 230 miles which to me is quite acceptable. I notices that when towing at 60 mph in the UK the consumption drops to around 25 mpg but at 50 mph it is around 29 and some times depending on the wind up to 30. So for me was a good move.

29mpg back up the M5, and its a hoot to drive solo especially in sport mode, left a few Chav`s slack jawed as I disappeared over the horizon.

They were probably thinking "look at that flipping silly person" or something very similar
