Hi, recently purchased a used Senator, and have foolishly got a cd stuck in the player.  I can't get it to eject or play - or even display CD on the LCD display. The 14 page instruction book is no help.  The radio plays fine.  Does anyone have advice please?

Not in a caravan, but when I had a similar problem I slid a thin blunt knife into the slot and used it to ease out the CD when I pressed eject. The CD was stuck because it wasn’t completely slotted into the tray.

I did the same as Goldie but in reverse - I used a knife to push the CD fully home.

Thank you both, have tried this and not got anywhere.  Hope I don't have to replace the cd/dvd/radio as my local dealer recommended.

If you have a detachable front cover for security, there should be a small eject hole, that a straighten out paper clip should fit.You could try that.

Or when I had similar, used a pair of relay pliers. They have a squashed thin blades that allowed them to be inserted into the slot to gently pull out the cd whilst pressing the eject button.

You may permanently damage the cd though.

Thank you, I hadn't noticed the pin hole, will give it a try - not bothered about the cd fortunately!

As a finale to our cd player problem, hubby has finally disconnected it and removed the top, turns out that the previous owner had left a dvd in! Sadly the cd player still won't operate, so looks like we'll have to source a replacement - can't go touring without my music! Thanks to all kind folks who helped.

Hi I had the same problem.  I took it apart lifted up the cd carriage and out it come.  On a better note i purchased a Omega 12097 Radio Cassette Player on eBay for £15,  just copy the wires from the new player to the original loom (omitting the pink one) and away you go.  I have made this sound easy (it is if you have done it) just take your time and you should be ok. Any problems please email me.  PS I am not sure if Omega make it with the CD/DVD player in it.  Kind Regards Graham
