Better to have a decent security lock on gas locker?

I suspect that goes for everything else as the motorhome itself presents no challenges and contains just about all your going away possessions, collectively worth probably more than two Gaslow cylinders?

IMO if a thief was after them then taking two locked together would hardly put them off? If locked to anything man enough to cause a delay could then lead to them doing some real structural damage.

The security for these on most caravans and motorhomes is usually minimal. The lockers can be easily accessed and two locked together would present very little further trouble for most thieves. These are at their most vulnerable when the vehicle is parked up when not in use so it may be the best defence is to remove them if you think the trouble of this is worth it.

I doubt most thieves would know you had these though so someone breaking in to steal them is unlikely.

I had my gas locker alarmed, hopefully it provides a little more security.

I've got an alarm on the MH but it only covers the cab and has doors. Would be nice if it covered the garage and locker doors. It's hardly a big deal for a few reed switches. Manufacturers penny pinching again.

We have a Gaslow system with 2 bottles, the van is on our drive, and alarmed, and CCTV,  so we are OK leaving them in the front locker when the van is here.

When the van goes for service, we remove the bottles.

Dealer says they have never lost a van, but the gas locker is not that secure, so we prefer not to take any chances, there can be a lot of people milling around at a dealer.
