Anyone noticed the new activities lined up for this years National ?

Not sure I'm up for some of them, the Ninja Assault course and the Travelator look a bit like hard work to me and as for the zipwire, hmmm... we'll see !

I am intrigued by Hover Archery  - what on earth is that ? Still, no-one can say there is nothing for the younger crowd this year, AND all free too ! laughing

Not  attending  "The  National"  but  your  post  encouraged  me  to  look  at  least.

Seem  to  recall  that  the  Upper  age  limit  for  the  younger  crowd ( your  term  Alison ) { I think }  is  92 { Quoted  Age  }  + 15%    innocentwink

Ha ha, still think I'm a bit too old for that Travelator let alone the Ninja course surprised But nice to think I'm still not 'old' (yet anyway)

Looking around the average CMC site or CMC rally it's hard to imagine any of the vanners partaking in those activities.  Playing whist or a sedate game of putting seems to be more suitable activities for the National Rally  wink

Hello Fire Dragon, it was suggested on another thread in Club Together, to contact you re the following.  I would be very interested to hear of any social bridge being played at rallies or Centre events. It’s a great fun sociable game and as I’m thinking of booking my first centre rally, E Hants, thought I’d ask. Thank you

Unfortunately nothing really to encourage us to go this year. Loved Sandringham last year, especially the cycle ride round the lanes.

    Maybe next year.

Hi Path, Sorry to hear you might not be going this year. The cycle events 'Cyclefest' will be at the National this year on 27 May 2018 and you get free entry to the family ride if you are staying at the National. For more information please see here: Cyclefest smile

    Hi SallyUK

Sorry I haven't been around lately (diverting issues at home sadly) and three times I have tried to post a reply to you today and none of them have taken !!! Very frustrating !

I have rallied with E Hants they are a nice group, I don't personally know of bridge groups as I don't play (but we do pay cribbage and Rummikub with our rallying friends). We have been to Games nights which cover all kinds of different card and board games on rallies.

The best advice i can give is... start rallying, make friends, ask around...and if you don't find anyone else who plays, perhaps you could teach some of them to play ?

    Good luck

    Alison
