CL Search annoying problem

When I am searching for a CL by County, I would just like to see the towns within that County, which I am sure you used to be able to see,  not all the towns with some highlighted, most annoying having to scroll through until you find a highlighted one.  Is it me, am I missing something.

Yes I agree, have just been trying to  find sites in certain areas and had to scroll through all the towns in the county. Even looking fro the county takes some scrolling. Am sure it used to be much easier to fine what I was looking for

I’ve gone back to using the book. It’s less frustrating.

I prefer to use the map search for the area that I want.

Don't know what system you're using, but I can't see a problem when I searching online on the CC's website. Select UK Holidays, Search for a CL; Select County, and a list of the towns that have CLs comes up. Choise the town you want and then you can filter your requirements, eg Hardstanding, EHU, Open all year etc by symbol....simples.wink

Or you can use the  "Search by Map" facility by typing in the town you want and ticking the CL icon at the top. You then get a map showing all CLs within a 20ml radius of your selected town. You can then close in on the town/area that you're interested in, but cannot use the filter for site requirements. It does depend how good your geography is, I suppose.

The problem is on the first county search the local towns appear. If you decide go back to the same county after looking at CLs under one particular town area then all uk towns appear.

It only takes a couple of clicks to clear it, doesn't it? I agree it's irritating but not the end of the world.

I have the same problem as PATMAU,when I select a county then click to select a town, I get a long list of, presumably, every town with a CL in the whole country, with the towns actually in the selected county in bold print.

It depends what system you are using. When I use the AppleMac then the problem as described by PATMAU occurs but when I use my iPad it doesn't and only relevant towns in that county are shown.

I'm using Chrome on my HP laptop. Not tried it on any other device.
