Yes, don't buy a portable (suitcase) style system.  Go for the biggest dish you can carry easily. The bigger the dish in theory the easier to catch the signal, (one with holes as it allows the wind too pass through it) .  Do a internet search this will come with the LNB. Then buy a length of cable with the satellite fittings moulded on each end (saves having to faff about crimping bits on to the cable). Final item is a tripod again internet best place for looking.  Less than £60 should be about right for a 60cm mesh dish, tripod and 10m of cable.

You can live without a signal finder/bleeper etc, download the app Freepoint UK put in the site name or post code and it will show you which way to point it.

    Good luck.

Don’t overlook the fact that whatever you choose, you’ll likely have less space to carry it if you swap to a MH.

It depends what you're looking for and what TV you have.  In contrast to the above, I have an Avtex TV with 'Easyfind' technology built in.  I use a Micro Easyfind Flat Dish which comes in a suitcase complete with tripod etc.  Easy to transport, doesn't look ugly outside the van and takes about a couple of minutes (if that) to align to the satellite - and works every time.  If you're going to the south of France, for example, this system will struggle but it works perfectly well in the UK. I've spent too much frustrating time trying to set up a 'conventional' system and for me this system was well worth the investment.
