Ferry Meadows and new dog rule?

Has anyone heard of a rule 669 which says dogs cannot be on a lead on a pitch at Ferry Meadows? A poster on a FB group has apparently been asked to leave for being in breach of the rule ... and yet there doesn’t seem to be anything but the standard rule 11 that applies wrt dogs. All sounds very odd to me

Sounds like a load of Tom Walls to me J&I. The general rule is a 3m fixed lead from memory

My thought exactly and so many are saying. This guy says he has been told that dogs cannot be tethered on the pitch. Nonetheless after further discussions with the wardens it seems he/they had a misunderstanding about him leaving! He has to leave the site to walk the dogs. But this rule 669 is still a mystery ...

Typical of a few short minded wardens, afew years ago we were at at Sandringham when the father of a 4 year old girl would be asked to leave if they didn't remove the swing ball, now l am not talking the normal swing ball but plastic one for use of upto 5 year olds. Gladley these wardens are far and few between. Their again it could have been a complaint of some sad people that take great pleasure in stopping others enjoyment, all of us have probably met these types before

If you read the Littlehampton reviews you'll see what can happen when a dog is left tethered. Maybe the wardens are now more alert to possible problems?

Indeed I have seen a few who think it OK just to walk their dog on site as long as they pick up any mess.

There’s more to it than we know. As we don’t know, we can only speculate and it’s pointless.

Nothing there specifically about tethering but it does say that your dog must be kept on your pitch, which I think implies tethering.

It seems very odd. Some friends have just arrived and pitched up and have posted a FB pic of their van plus tethered dogs on the pitch. As Tinny says it looks as though there is more to it. But at least I now know to what the 669 was referring. Ironically the thread that lead to my query has been closed down so I can’t provide the OP with feedback 😂😂😂. Feeling curious now so will go and find my handbook 🤥🤭🤔
