Hi, I tow with a X1  2,0 Xdrive, 150bhp  auto, and is the most relaxed tow car I've owned. Fuel consumption with a 1260ish 'van is about 25-28 mpg,

Hi   In 2014 we bought a new X1 20D XDrive, Automatic 189 bhp.  Best towcar I’ve ever had. We had a Swift Challenger 1387 kg. Towed it thousands of miles. Now just changed van for a Coachman VIP 460 updated to 1500 kg. I owned a Freelander for 6 years, but this BMW I find is so much more comfortable far more quieter and an all round  great car.

I know I could look it up and maybe arrive at the answer, but BMW's site makes it hard to view the complete spec, but you guys who own one would better answer my questions.smile

What is the max noseweight for the X1, max tow weight and kerbweight(s) please, it's a car that interests me.

    Update

I have had the BMW for 16 months now and it has performed perfectly towing. I have been to France , Germany , Austria , Hungary and Romania. I have also done a lot of travelling in the UK.  Wales , New Forest , Lake District , Bath , Cromer , Devon , Suffolk , Kent and Whitby. We are going to the south of France in July for two weeks.

The car is a very good tow car and solo it is really good on fuel and comfortable to drive. I would certainly recommend one for towing and owning.
