    We have a 20' motorhome and always use a little fan heater at 1kw.  We do have onboard heating that runs on gas or electric but when my daughter was little I worried about her burning herself on the main unit, hence the fan heater.  Things to consider are available floor space (and proximity to plug socket) to use an appliance, combined with how you safely transport when driving.  You also need to consider weight and your available payload.

    We are just in the process of changing to a little caravan with blown air heating, but will continue to keep our trusty little £15 fan heater with us too.
