As another year draws to a close.....I have visited about 18 club sites this year and without exception I have had a warm and friendly reception from the wardens and they have maintained all the facilities to a very high standard....as usual. So I just wanted to say A BIG THANK YOU to all of them for their hard work and smiles. It makes such a difference to my enjoyment of holidays to be able to rely on the club sites being maintained so well.

Also I would just add that I have never encountered any grumpy or unfriendly members, badly behaved children nor noisy dogs!!!

It's been a fab year.. 😆 thank you.

I agree and I believe it is the wardens that make the club so special and popular

Unusually for us, we've only stayed on 2 club sites this year. But I have to agree with the OP - friendly, helpful wardens, well maintained facilities and friendly, responsible fellow vanners (& MHers wink). Hopefully the year's not quite over yet, but a big thank you from us too!

We couldn't agree more, the wardens make the club great, their passion and hard work to make our holidays and weekends so enjoyabe doesn't go in noticed by us, thank you

We only found out this year how much the comments in the vistors books means to the wardens and for that reason we now make a point of thanking the wardens via the vistors book.

We are proud to be members of the club but it's such a shame that a few other members using the forum only seem to be able to find faults with the club.

I agree with most of the above comments BUT... On 4 of the sites we've visited this year, there haven't been any Visitors' Book to write comments!!

Stayed on 3 club sites this year and apart from my abhorrence of regimentation (a personal thing)  they were really good.  I particularly enjoyed Morvich with its international clientele.

Unusually we have not stayed at any CMC sites this year. ( none in the areas we wanted to tour )  But when we did, I was never one to hang around the site office keeping the warden staff from their duties.

The only contact I needed during any stay, was to pay the money on arrival and tell them which pitch I had chosen.  I have always found the CMC sites to be well maintained by the staff and the public toilets to be cleaned to a high standard.  For that, the Site staff have to be complimented and thanked.

The degree of interaction with the wardens is about on a par with the discourse with the supermarket checkout operator - polite but minimal. Having only used one club site this year, it is a matter of no consequence.

Caravan Club Wardens - usually friendly and helpful when needed. Appreciated by me.

    Caravan Club pitch occupiers ditto.

Agree. We have used mostly club sites this year and as usual had a great time. We are hoping to get another weekend  in before the end of the year

Apart from being polite on check in I rarely converse except for the actual check in procedure.  I usually return when it looks quiet and chat about what wildlife is present on the site and to date the staff have always been cordial and informative

Can the Wardens expect a Christmas tip from their fans?

Don’t knock it. It’s harmless and makes folk happy. It makes a change from moans and sniping. laughing

Ok (you'd expect this from me) but when we ever stayed on site near Christmas we would always give the wardens box of mince pies to share when we left & hand the fob thing back in.

Glad you've had a really good year eiflow.  We haven't stayed on as many Club sites as you, but all the sites we have visited have been good and the site staff have been welcoming.

It is a team effort.....the wardens are at the coal face, the club is behind the wardens and the money is behind the club wink it Is what should be expected of a high profile company but that said thanks and gratitude were and when it is due.

We should take care, Corners, as pie eaters tend to imagine they're smart when, in fact, they provide lots of laughs for the rest of us. wink
