Have looked everywhere on the clubs website and policies and I can not find any policies

on club sites with a vehicle that's sign written towing a caravan be a car or a van

can anyone help with what the clubs conditions are ?

    It’s allowed, gw.

Affiliated sites might have different rules.

This is snobbery.  The only question is, is the OP the victim or perpetrator?

My motorcaravan has signage on all sides advertising the make and model.

Thankfully sign written vehicles have been allowed on club sites for many years now. A builder friend of ours uses his double cab pickup for both business and pleasure, it tows his caravan! This is the only way he can caravan as his wife's/family car is a Yaris and wouldn't tow the skin off a rice pudding. Unfortunately a few can spoil things for the rest but they don't always need a sign written van for that!

See the recent Littlehampton reviews, the only by law quote was for recreational use but "usually precludes" formed part of the by law, whatever that means.

Many years ago, the then CC had rules and standards to attract the discerning caravanner. .  Then standards slipped in an effort to encourage the mass market.  Now you can roll up with the works van plastered with advertising or even a commercial truck and it is accepted.  --- I'm not against the use of works vehicles on CMC sites, but it's interesting to notice what's acceptable nowadays, as against what was deemed a "NO NO" by the membership, years ago.

    wink

'Slipped', that's an opinion and loaded at that! 'Evolved' to be ever inclusive may be better (also an opinion). After-all, it is not the vehicle or the clothing worn at all it's the behaviour of the member that's important. If the behaviour is not antisocial and in keeping with the rules it's acceptable and so is the person.

wink There, that makes it all better!

There is possibly an advantage in sign-written vehicles over the anonymous "white van" in that there is a reasonable change of identifying the users should ungentlemanly conduct ensue.

Perhaps before long The Caravan Club will require all members to display their name and contact details on their vehicles on site.

agree, I'm more bothered with how people behave than how their outfits are decorated. unless somehow cars/van with signs on them mean their owners are badly behaved?

I'm sure no-one will Indoors.  Most trucks don't get plastered with advertising like transit type vans do.

    Amother relevant point :-

The travelling community tow with commercial vehicles but they don't have advertising on their vehicles. Are they therefore more or less acceptable on a CMC site ?.

I am sure that you did not mean 'Don't Feed the Seagulls'. But that would also have fitted
