Winter Touring

Well here we are at Hillhead, enjoying a winter break and using a mid week discount, so we're on  a short break on a well equipped site with a sea view pitch. The site shop is open every morning so I can stroll up for a paper, the restaurant and bar are open from 6pm. Best of all we can leave the motorhome on site and catch a bus from the gate. Kingswear and Dartmouth via the ferry in one direction, Brixham or Paignton in the other. From Paignton the steam train runs a winter time table and there are still river tours on the Dart. I've had my Dartmouth fix today, enjoying the sunshine on the river and town gardens plus a favourite coffee stop. Much to enjoy in Devon, even in November!

    Sounds lovely brue. I wish it wasn't so far for us to enjoy MWD there 😢. One day we will build it into a tour. Who knows next year we might have the chance 😉

    Hmm, obviously the pixels on my android phone did not like being reduced to 500 then extended on here, a second apology now that I can see them more clearly on my lap top. It was the first time I used my phone to download onto the story section....not a good idea!

    They appear ok on my Android phone, even expanding them, certainly good enough to get a flavour.

    Lucky you. We love Hillhead we were back down there in July and as always loved it. The area is greatplenty to see and do love Brixham too
