Another change. Or, More "evolution"
Well, after three years with our fabulous big-rig I had an epithany! It became obvious that the RV was a little too large for our evolving camping style. It was brilliant for long-term camping, full-time living and generally showing-off but it excluded us from many sites that we had previously enjoyed by way of a maximum size rule!
And so, we down-sized. Easy to say but not so easy to achieve! You can easily expand into a large (and ever-increasing sized) RV but, when you downsize, it can become problematic. But, downsize we did and we have made a success of it. Our compromises were:
No double glazing
No fixed dinette
No LPG oven
Less space
But we have managed. And, more importantly, we have enjoyed the experience. The benefits are more mpg and, by virtue of this, more trips away. Also we can re-visit the sites that we had been "excluded" from because of our (previous) size.
So, yet another chapter opens in our lives.

I have an auto sleeper vw. She's called Ida. She sleeps two , has amazing space capavity. 2 gas rings and a grill, fridge on gas and lekky, a Lou, which is handy especially on a dark and wet n windy night, and a lovely comfortable bed. Her steering wheel is huge and I feel like I'm driving a juggernaut!
I couldn't imagine a bigger van. I can park her easily and she's easy to clean. Say no more small is beautiful! Happy holidays in your new van.
Best wishes, Brown hare.
