Sky light Help

hello all. Posting on behalf of my in laws. 

Would you be able to help at all please, we have a Peugeot pioneer Magellan motorhome. I want to open the sky light but it only opens a little bit, is there a way to get it to open fully?

    There are several different kinds of rooflights -  but mainly they fall into two types, the opaque type like this one (click for link) and the clear Heki type which comes in two different sizes.  The second type open fully, the first type open only about an inch all round.  Which type does your in-laws van have?
