Purchasing a caravan porch awning
A cautionary tale for those considering purchasing a porch awning. Be sure to read the brochure carefully as I have recently purchased a new Dorema awning and believe the size details given to be misleading. The width and depth sizes described as available are for measurements at the ground level as the awing tapers towards the roof by almost half a metre.
Having not purchased a porch awning previously I was not aware of this, perhaps I should have more carefull in my reading but, a measurement diagram would have been helpful.
It could be said as Dorema have been in business for many years this has doubtless happened many times to customers, and a diagram common sense for beginners. But, once the the goods are out of the box they are 'used' and a refund or exchange impossible, and no good for the companies sale sheet.
