So you are advocating criminal damage in addition to selfish, self centred behaviour?

As I understand it Chatsworth has a specific problem with a narrow stretch of road making it perfectly logical, that  separation between units leaving and arriving is enforced.

I have been on several sites on the continent where there is a total shut down over a 2-3hr period during lunch.  We did once have a problem with people turning up early at one of our Rallies. I solved this by exercising my prerogative of telling people where to pitch, all the early arriverers got the worst pitches (Someone has got to have them)

    Note to Keyboard Warriors:

One gentleman with much effing and jeffin said he wasn't happy with his pitch.  I said no problem I was happy to tow him off site and oh yes refund forget it.  He calmed down after that.

Actually I am very pragmatic when it comes to rules.  It just that sometimes, you see the same old faces looking out for themselves.   But I am in charge When we run an event, we take the responsibility and the stress.

Always thought rallies were unfriendly, clique places with self importance a priority. Back to chains, must be quite rusty by now, no need for bolt cutters.

Of course your thoughts are completely unsullied by actual experience.  And therefore of absolutely no interest or relevance to me

There's the relevance Boff, a tad unfriendly I think and not portraying a very welcome message as a 'frontliner'..

Unfriendly no, because for once, the people who were willing to abide by the rules weren't the ones that were penalised.  Yet you think I'm the one who acted unreasonably.  I wouldn't dream of turning up early for anysite, without at least having the good manners to check that it was okay.

But retuning to the original point as Chatsworth has a specific access issue.  Then I applaud the Wardens for taking action to prevent selfish behaviour by a minority. If the problem didn't exist as a site wasn't busy, I would have no problem someone arriving half an hour early or indeed half an hour late.

But too many people believe that rules don't apply to them and bad behaviour is always someone else.

That's what makes the UK special, David and is why we have this section called UK Sites & Touring for discussing UK sites. I know it's funny being expected to discuss issues in line with the title but there you go.

If they installed chains on all sites it would remove the the early ariivals as a subject on together that alone would be an improvement, it would only affect the minority and when they left the club the  chains could be removed, then the club could start and evict speeding members so that they could remove all the humps simple really😃😃

I apologise to al those I upset yesterday, by suggesting that it is unfair that people turn up early causing disruption and acting selfishly whether it is a site or a rally

I realise that this behaviour has caused a number of you lads and lass, to decide never to book a rally.  I thought I would invite you all our next Rally so that you could show me how to behave.  But unfortunately  it's FULL and has been for months.

Go to go now, I've got a day job.

You apologised for the wrong thing, Boff.

Had you apologised for creating the impression of being an unwelcoming, unfriendly and bossy RSM, it might have meant something.

Rallies? No way if that's a typical attitude of the stewards.

The very last rally we went on,was at the East of England show ground for the National Shire Horse show,it was very muddy, and we were called forward off a firm road towards a marker that was to be the centre line for us to aim for I said to the "marshals"to move the marker while we were on the move, but no they made us stop then removed the marker, and of cause the inevitable happened but of course it was our faultundecided as we we were rudely told yell but as we were not of the "in crowd"great play was made of the problem ,that was the last straw of several "uncomfortable" rallies we had been onsurprised
