Hi

I am considering purchasing a BMW 335d xdrive touring.  Has anyone got any experince of towing with one?  My caravan has a MTPLM of 1500kg.

Thanks

If you do buy one ,make sure what seems, it has as one of the many extras on BMWs direction indicators that workwink even more so when towingcool

I can't speak for that particular model but I have an X4 3 litre diesel which has the same engine in a slightly lower level of tune and it's basically also a 3-series BMW. I've towed my 1800kg caravan down to Italy twice with it since I bought the car last year and I'm off down to Italy again with it later today and I can't fault it.

Just make sure that the trailer electrics are fully wired. Mine got the factory-fitted swivel towbar and it wasn't (I don't think any BMW's are fully wired as standard).

Have the 520d M tourer xdrive, tows brilliantly.

If you're getting one with a factory fitted towbar, make sure they fit the wiring for the fridge. Just cost me £800 to get that sorted. Experience of this and the last BMW with factory fitted towbar is that no independent towbar fitter will touch it.
