I'm thinking of buying this, Satellite Dish  I like the fact its a bit smaller than the metal type and self contained. I've also seen it a lot cheaper than in this link smile

Anyone use one or have experience of it?

Very unlikely to, although the manufacture claims it will work in  a large part of Europe ? They also claim it has the same reception ability as a 55 cm dish. I would just like to hear from someone who has one before I buy. I have found it available on Amazon for about £85 delivered from Germany.

    Thank for the advice though.

I guess that 'A large part of Europe' means with different TVs/set top boxes to receive from different satellites......therefore not necessarily UK programmes?

Hopefully a user will appear with the real facts soonsmile

Good thinking EJB, you certainly won't get UK channels over a large part of Europe even if it performs as claimed which I doubt. Manufacturers have a habit of claimiing performance is better than the actual size, perhaps they do but it is nothing to do with the size of the dish and more to do with receiver (LNB) performance.

If you use Google to search for Multimo reviews you will see that it gets 4 out of 5 stars on Amazon and there are various other forum that have discussions on the dish.

I've had a Multimo for years but it is now sitting in the loft, unused.  I used it on our previous two boats in the UK and, once set up, gave a good reliable signal.  The only nuisance with it was that it wasn't easy to align and involved a compass and the use of the Dishpointer App.  Plus, I found it didn't lend itself to caravanning because of difficulties of where / how to site it.

Instead, I went for the Avtex flat dish on a tripod with Easyfind technology which works extremely well with our Avtex TV and is very easy to align.  Another expensive option, but it has proved much simpler to use.

I don't know how you can contact me via this forum, but am more than happy to sell the Multimo if you're still set on going down that path.
