Swift Sprite Brakes

hi,  I have just taken delivery of a brand new swift sprite major SB and taken it out on its first trip.

Its been driven about 100 miles but the brakes squeak really badly each time I brake and it sounds like some old relic.  Is this normal?

    I'd not expect squealing brakes on a new van, but it could just be a build  up of dust due to bedding in.

    sure its from the caravan's brakes? not the hitch? Maybe be a silly question

    On the Swifttalk there is a topic on this very subject. It would appear to be down to a build-up of brake dust. It is a problem from Alko rather than Swift, and people seem to be ignoring the problem as long as their brakes are working. Fault seems to be with the composition of the actual shoe, but it is still worth getting the dealer to sort out.
