After all the recent discussion about increasing the number of sites open all year round particularly to provide for the apparent increase in all year motorhomers I expected to find an increase in members booking when the Jan-March 2018 bookings opened yesterday. It looks as though I was wrong.

I booked York Rowntree Park at about 11.00am yesterday without any delay and then Chester both for long stays. I have just checked and both so called "honeypot" sites York and Bristol still had vacancies for the whole period. So much for the many posts about never being able to get on either.

I can only guess that either many members did not read the announcement in the magazine regarding winter booking opening day or more than I realised prefer a warmer climate as some of my friends do.

    Thanks for the reminder. I first started using Baltic Wharf Bristol by booking in the Jan to March period. But now I've decided my last visit there was for the Harbour Festival this year, unless I hear the site is going to stay open for longer than the three month system in place just now. But I hope others get the chance to go, even in winter Bristol is worth a visit!  smile
