We want to book a week at Freshwater East online tonight, but before we do book We'd like to know if there is a regular bus service from the site into Tenby.

Thanks

googlemaps only shows one bus for today 11:38 to 13:00, dont know if this is right, but its a long trip....it also lists the time to cycle there as just over an hour, which i would agree with, having done this route (and similar) several times.

to me, this looked like a site that might be better served to a car/caravan as the hill out of town is mightily steep....for walking or cycling.

i saw an earlier thread where you were looking for sites nr Tenby....this one would not be on my list, there are loads more options close by....

FE is almost the most westerly site on this bit of Pembrokeshire, so a tad isolated, although it does have a nice beach close by. We are currently researching the same area, and all I can say is if you are happy to pay the price for FE, then have a good look around on Ukcampsites and other site search engines. There are a lot of very nice private sites out there at similar prices, in better locations for travelling about on public transport. BB is correct about the hills and lanes, this bit of Wales is very like Cornwall, and goes up and down, twists and turns a lot!. Around Haverfordwest/West Coast is more central for getting to all parts of Pembrokeshire, but depends on what you want to do and see.

Have a nice time, we are off down there as well, if weather suits, but we don't book anything until we know it is going to be nice/dry!laughing
