We motorhomed as a family of 4 plus dog. We keep the motorhome because we can fit it on our drive and would struggle to get a caravan on our drive with its a-frame.

However, when on the motorhome forums, I tend to advise families who do not want to exceed 3500kgs, and/or want good seatbelts for the kids, to buy a caravan and decent to car. Vehicle safety has added a lot of weight to motorhomes whilst the body builders are desperately trying to take off weight.

I can appreciate that as I'm a practical rather than an academic chap and left Grammar School in 1960 at 15 to do a 5 yr motor engineering indentured apprenticeship with a R/Royce and Jaguar main agent. I absolutely loved every minute of it, in spite of earning only £3.10s.0d a week.

I'd love to have a new Citroen 2CV instead of my Hi-Tec 'intelligent' and Eco-pompous nag of a car!

Perhaps you could have a go at getting your avatar the right way up instead, Wex. wink

well then, just write each point of your picture as a column vector or matrix then multiply them by the rotation by Pi/2 (or better known as 90 degrees) clockwise matrix of:

    [ 0   -1 ]

    [ 1    0 ]

The square brackets should of course be longer and it should like the photo attached.

Don't forget to pre-multiply as matrix multiplication, as I'm sure you know is not commutative.

    Did you enjoy that AD?

I think the question posed by the OP was had the membership gone up by a percentage and in truth we don't know.  Perhaps. IMO, a better question would be if the membership had increase proportionally will the club stop closing sites and what steps are in place to increase the number of pitches available to club members?

agree, Oneputt, we dont know....unless the club decides to tell us...smile

however, if all the 'new vans' were bought by CC members who were upgrading from existing ones, there would be no specific increase at all in CC membership as a result of burgeoning caravan/mh sales.....wink

you could also rotate the picture on your hard drive before allocating it? It may look the right way round on your camera/drive but that is because on some cameras and drive you have the option of displays portrait photographs 'portrait' but stores them landscapes

Ah! You actually were trying to tell me how to rotate my avatar picture (I couldn't understand a word of it!). I thought you were just taking the Michael and I was happy to go along with it. embarassed

Anyway, I've substituted another so I am no longer in breach of CMC's straight lines rules. laughing
