CLs on our recent tour of south east England

Just wanted to recommend some excellent CLs that we used on our recent trip.

Started at Oaklands Farm, Stilton near Peterborough.  Choice of grass or hard standing pitches, easy access near to a village with good pubs. 

Also stayed at Fishers Field in Themberton, great location, lots of villages and handy for Minsmere (we cycled there). Pubs in walking distance.  Large flat grassy field with 2 hard standings and 2 individual toilet/showers.

Kahana near Manningtree in Essex was our last port of call and what a find this was.  Massive grassed field overlooking a paddock and a little glimpse of the coastline. Just a water tap, electrics and peace and quiet.  Pub within walking distance too.

We booked the first CL about a week before we left home but the others were all booked as we toured.  Just the way it should be really.

    Thanks for those tips, Natasha. We love to try out different CLs on our tours and haven't use any of those, but have looked at visiting Kahana in the past.

    Stay at Kahana whenever we catch the ferry to Hook from Harwich. Excellent CL as you say Natasha and nice people that run it. There's good dog walking within 50 yards of the site.(Head downhill and around the corner and it's on the left).

    Staying at Fishers Field in September. Looking forward to it.

    Thanks for sharing Natasha. You obviously tour like we do, nothing booked too far in advance, and others done enroute!
