    I have the TomTom My Drive app on my phone which when connected to my TomTom satnav provides real time traffic for my route ahead.  Not had it that long, but on a journey from Northumberland back to Essex I found it very accurate.

    My Garmin gives real time traffic information on the continent using the power cable as an antenna. It will tell me that there is a blockage in one lane 30 miles ahead. Of course, by the time we get there the problem (if it ever existed) has gone. It's only as good as the traffic information available which seems variable to say the least.

    And it will also give a "faster" route via a "diversion" to miss the "blockage" if you take noticeundecided, or if you know the route normally has a problemsmile

    The inbuilt Sat Nav in my Audi has live traffic updates. It is quite accurate at showing where there is currently congestion but is woeful at predicating the arrival time. When a route is congestion free arrival time predictions are very accurate.
