Toilets

I have just come back after a short weekend at Warwick Racecourse.

The site has an older style shower/toilet block with only three cubicles in the gents. Every time I went to use the toilet it seamed that the last person to use it had either: not bothered to flush or had left paper all over the floor and seat.

This is rather annoying as I don't want to see it, and have to clean up other peoples mess.

My last straw came this morning when I came to empty my caravan toilet cassette only to find that the emptying point had also not been cleaned and was full of the last persons mess.

It is not just at Warwick I have noticed this decline in some peoples standards but on other sites too.

I feel sorry for the poor wardens who must have to face this mess every day as part of their job.

Would you leave a mess like that at home?

Please help everyone onsite and clean up properly after yourselves. It's not nice or needed.

It's one of my pet hate's. I don't understand why people have to leave the loo's in such a terrible state, wouldn't do it at home. The wife say's it's not just the men's.

I don't understand it either. It certainly seems to be brought up often enough on CT. However, I don't think the frequency has altered in the 12 years we have been using CC sites.

It is not something that I come across very often at all.

The problem is that it is all within a snapshot of that stay on a site. It doesn't mean that it happens all the time on all sites. It does happen as I have witnessed it myself. I would agree that you do wonder how people are in their own homes, far more conscientious I imagine. One thing I find particularly annoying is the toilet rolls. When one is empty they have to be broken in two to gain access to the new roll. I have lost count on the number of times I find the broken card rolls on the toilet cistern, on the window ledge of even the floor. Every toilet block has a bin!!!

The wardens are the ones who are in the best position to monitor this but it is difficult to quite understand how you reduce the problem.

It is possible this is being one by simply just one or two people who travel from site to site!  They might even not be members.

We don't use the showers and toilets very often ,preferring to use our own on board facilities. But when we do use the toilets we always make sure we leave them as we would expect to find them.It amuses me how many people spend a fortune on a nice caravan or Motorhome and refuse to use their on board facilities, but each to their own I guess.

Don't think so, Nav. It's a general fall in standards that's happening all over the place. Have you notice how much rubbish is left scattered all over the place these days.
