Hi

I am sure something like this has been posted before but just wondering what are everyone's favourite sites Scotland are?

Ours are

1. North Ledaig -  Spectacular views and great site soon make us forget the quirky check in procedure

2. Morvich - most tranquil place in the world but with club standard facilities

3. Maragowan - this was the first ever club site we stayed at and the wardens made us feel so welcome so it  now has a special place in our hearts, plus it's a site that you can pitch up and walk everywhere for the weekend without driving.

4. Blair Atholl - another site where you can pitch up for the weekend and walk everywhere.

5.Brunee - View across Loch Linnie

6.Sunnyside Croft - the whitesands on the beach and modern facilities.

Looking forward everyone else's top sites.

    1. Bunree - if there are no midges otherwise it's off the list

    2. Melrose - right in village and ruined abbey

    3. Stirling - was a club site now AS

    4. Braemar - same

    5. Culloden

    6. Garlieston - out of the way and on the beach

Haven't been to enough yet to really make a decision but here goes.

    1 Stromness on Orkney

    2 Altnahara

    3 Carradale

    4 Burravoe on Shetland

5 Milton of Fonab ('cause we like Pitlochry)

6 Rothiemurchus ('cause we like the Cairngorms.)

smile just a selection, will that do? smile

Not been to the islands yet but main land.

1 North Ledaig - in any weather its stunning.

2 New England Bay - peace and tranquility

3 Stonehaven - by the sea, easy to walk into town - great fish and chips

4 Rosemarkie - views and dolphin watching

5 Balbirnie - close to home but peaceful and easy to reach anywhere in Fife

6 Edinburgh - just so much to do

I must say that Sunnyside Croft looks spectacular but £26 per night sans electricity for such a relatively remote place looks a little steep.

It's like a tropical paradise but is a 'camping place' rather than a site and is set just above the beach so you wont get wet feet, Brian.laughing
