Chatsworth RHS Flower Show

I was considering trying to book Chatsworth for the above show on frenzy day. Normally when we go to Chatsworth it is Sunday to Sunday. However, I wondered if the show compromised access to the park at all, apart of course from the area the show takes up. The show this year was the 7 / 11th June and unfortunately there are no reviews between 30/5 and 18/6. The gate and access to the park is one of the best bits about Chatsworth. So if that was in anyway restricted, we would not want to go for the full week. Hopefully someone on CT went and can advise. I thought I would ask before ringing the wardens. Also did you enjoy the show, if you went?

Steve - we were there this year when they were setting up ready for the show. It seems to be held in a huge self contained fenced area just over the other side of the bridge opposite the house itself. There was normal access through the gate into the park itself, the only real factor was that walking down river you needed to skirt round the show area itself - just adds about 10 minutes to the walk. Other than that there was nothing noticeable, although I'm not sure whether you'd have to put up with announcements during the days when the show is being held. So I'dvgo and enjoy the place ( and don't forget The Packhorse Inn up at Little Longstone!
