I'd want far more than a discount to return - ever!

No CC discount. It was odd anyway that the club advertised and offered a discount to a competitor, but then nothing surprises you about HO. If you use Haven twice in a year you get a 10% discount direct from them. We use Haven quite often but always in term time. The offers are exceptional ie In September you get an Europitch for £11 (all in). Far better pitches and facilities than CC sites we find. Everyone to his own, but I wonder if many that sneer  here have ever been on a modern Haven site recently.

We went to see one to see if it was better value than our usual haunt for the grandsprogs at Hillhead needless to say Hillhead won as Haven was just not that and far to expesive the peak we neededundecided

    Hello.

The Haven discount was stopped as of last year and our partnership with them.
It was not economical to continue this partnership

D3an-It never made commercial sense to be with them. What it did was make some of us sample the opposition and found them better. Huge loss of club income now.

+1 (at least)  No wish to criticize others' choices, but for us, never again.

we went to primrose valley in Yorkshire which had just been refurbed. they've got a fab bar and restaurant right next to the touring site over looking a large lake for old codgers like us who try to avoid kids (the main entertainment complex is miles away) and id you book 2x2 separate nights at any haven place you get 10% off and 10 pound extra off when booking subsequent weeks. We are paying 50 pound for a week next may and all the pitches are super pitches so you don't even have to leave your pitch for water and waste- really recommend it

in the main, they have great infrastructure, tne super pitches weve used are far better than a typical (either) club pitch.

out of season, occupancy low, prices lower, terrific locations and a great bargain. weve used them a bit at these times.

in season, can get very crowded, often with folk who dont caravan 'the club way' so be aware, prices much higher, we dont use them in these peak periods.

You certainly wouldn't want to be on Perran Sands this week, BB - and it's not even school holiday time yet! surprisedwink

true, hence me being in a field at Chichester, insteadwink

....however, we were there last year, 2nd week after opening in the spring, only around 5 vans up on the super pitches, well away from everyone else, it was fine.

as i said, good location, around £9 a night, serviced pitch incl EHU, and access to any bars etc 'only if you want to'.

going to a Haven site doesnt make it compulsory to 'join in' with anything.....we're happy to keep well away and enjoy the area for peanuts.
