sometime ago I recall an article in the club magazine on what is the best manufacturer of a 12v  battery to use on a caravan when using a motor mover.

Are you able to remind me of the recommendations?

The caravan club article showed that most "leisure battery's " were starter batteries with a fancy picture on them.  Naturally the caravan club didn't name names in order to protect the guilty.   The NCC do some sort of accreditation scheme for batteries how much more than a marketing gimmick I have no idea.  Recognised quality brands are in no particular order Bosch, Banner, Varta, Yuasa spl?  My personal recommendation is that for any given AH rating the best one is usually the heavy one as lead is an expensive commodity.

Have a look on here which is the list of NCC tested battery's according to what your needs are, i.e. Have a motor mover. http://www.thencc.org.uk/our_schemes/ncc_verified_leisure_battery_scheme.aspx
