We have just spent two weeks. We, being 4 x caravans, all family.  We booked 5 months in advance. On arrival (all 4 within 20 minute slot) we were split up inyo pairs and located at opposite ends of this tourer park. Not a good start and our protests fell on deaf ears.

On arrival it was noticed that our allocated pitches had plenty of uncut grass and plenty of nettles around the power / water service points.

The "tourer section" is located right away from the parks main facilties and a long walk to the site shop for milk / paper etc'

The tourer section numbers about 40 pitches, however many of these are now being used for static rental homes.  By far the worst part of tourer location is that its adjacent to the very busy and noisy A165, a veritable motorcycle race track 😨😨

We twice in the fortnight had to report vastly overflowing rubbish and bottle bins .

The upside was the places we visited see photos

Did you request that you be put together when the booking was made? I must admit that I don't know if you can make such a request but if it is possible to do so then you will be better informed for the future.

Mmm! seems more homework is required before next outing together, as the teachers would say "could do better"

Doesn't sound a very attractive place at all.

"Haven" - any time from Easter to late October has got to be the most inappropriate name for a site, surely?!! wink

Our experience of Haven in October was hideous - there are pics on here somewhere. Never again.

We'll be taking the dogs across the dunes tomorrow. Might take a couple of pictures of the shanty town to show folk what it's like at this time of year! surprised
