Teleco TELEPLUS X2 aerial on Elddis van

Hi all,

We are considering buying an Elddis dealer special, but we have a problem with the height of the aerial.  We store our van in the back garden, access to which is through our garage with doors that open front and back.  The aerial on our existing Swift can simply be removed by loosening the lock-nut and sliding the pole out of the housing.  The Teleco aerial has a mechanism on the bottom of the shaft to do the horizontal/vertical adjustment and that mechanism is too wide to pass through the fixing plate.  The dealer doesn't have a clue as to whether or not this mechanism can readily be removed, so I was just wondering if any other Elddis owners out there know whether this can be done.

As far as I can see, the whole aerial is supplied ready assembled in its fixing plate, suggesting that it can't easily be taken apart.  I've attached a pic from the Teleco installation instructions.
