Third Party Advertisements

Is anyone else getting third party advertisements appearing on the right hand side of the page under Useful Information? These have been appearing (at least to me) for some time but they seem to be associated with Club offers so initially I thought nothing of it. However this morning I have an advertisement for Photobucket!!! They are not Google Ads but they are flagged as an advertisement. Just wonder what the Club policy is on this and will it become more widespread?

    Yes, it says "please update your account to enable etc" then go to photobucket....? (Two adverts.)

    They are still there but now Club related which I suppose is fair enough.

    The Autosleeper Forum is full of them, it's just about useable, but a real pain in the neck, each post has a number of these in it, doesn't make for good reading.  I did notice what you noticed this morning on here too, but not anymore.

    How big is the amount of numptieness in the Caravan Club IT department? They must have heard about the complaints that the wifi speed on sites is pathetically slow and the excuse being given that people are downloading too much. So they design a forum layout that is hugely data heavy, with lots of unnecessary information, and repitition to make it go slower.

    Now, to make it slower still, they have added advertisments. It beggars belief!

    I don't look at CT anymore unless I'm on free wifi as that amount of data it needs to download is huge, and expensive. Especially considering that I dont look at 80% of it.

    Never had anything to do with photobucket but did notice advert. Now only seeing Enterprise & Club advert. Interesting  reading  the web link info though.

    Photobucket are now wanting $399 (£309)  per year so that photos on Photobucket can be posted on third party websites.  This means that if you have photos on Photobucket which you have posted onto Club Together they have been removed and replaced with the request to update your Photobucket account ie. pay the extortion.  It is causing mayhem on ebay and Amazon etc.  Nothing to do with the Club's IT staff this time.
