Serviced pitches

We have just spent 3 nights on our local site and at the time of booking no serviced pitches were available.

Thursday night had a serviced pitch empty, the same pitch on Friday night had a caravan not using the services, then Saturday night the same pitch had a Motorhome on it

Come on members, lets be fair to the club members wanting to use serviced pitches and book the pitches to suit your uses

Which site was this? Maybe serviced pitches were the only ones available when those particular members booked? Maybe they wanted to be sure of a HS? Maybe they just wanted to exercise their choice ( and had more money than sense! wink )?

Not really a story. You would have got more responses from putting this in the discussions area although I think most would agree with the post above.

This is the 'counter thread' to the I had to use a service pitch as there were no non service available thread.

This has been discussed a few times before but it's a good topic of discussion.

Basically it's just down to choice. If people want to book and pay for a service pitch for whatever reason, be it wanting a particular part of the site, or ensuring a HS (which doesn't always apply when the site is all HS), or not having to go far for their water and waste, or whatever... It's their choice.

It is equally their choice to use the 'service' part of the pitch too, or not. And if they don't they shouldn't really have to worry about depriving someone else of that service pitch. It's their holiday, their money.

I always go all inclusive on holiday abroad, believe me I make full use of the all inclusive parts specifically the free flowing wine, while others just order bottled water. It's the same principle.

Having said that I'm a great service pitch fan and always and always try and book one. They are in great demand and I can sort of understand what your saying. Hopefully the club will put more service pitches in as time goes by.

Sometimes I'm not early enough booking and get a non service pitch, but I certainly wouldn't be bothered what people are up o on the service pitches.
