Am considering getting a Mazda Bongo to use as a campervan. it would be just for 'one man and his dog'. Would do my own conversions using one of the readily available kits and am planning on an end kitchen with dinette-style bench seats. The original centre row of seats would be retained but turned to be rear facing. I would also add a drive-away awning for extra space/storage on site.

Anyone here use one of these as a camper? Any thoughts? Might I find it difficult to secure a pitch on club sites as it wouldn't be a full sized or coachbuilt motorhome?

Oh, I'm under 5'6 tall so headroom isn't much of a problem!!
