Hi everyone. Does anyone know if motorhomes are allowed on the park just for a day trip, to park anywhere just like everybody else does, and pay the guys on the bikes when they come round. I can't find a number for the park office, so just wondered if anyone has been in their motorhome. Thank You.

I am pretty sure I saw motorhomes in the car parks but I hope someone else will confirm that.

Not sure which car park you mean as not been to visit Clumber Park for a number of years.  This phone No is in the National Trust book  -  01909 544917.  Maybe they can help.

Yes they are permitted, you just pay the same as everyone else, if you are not an NT member. The charge is now per person, rather than the vehicle, so all occupants need to be members to get in free. You would not want to try and put it in the main car park. But there are plenty of other areas. Particularly just off the side of Lime Tree Avenue, were you would be OK. Or the large overspill car park, when open.

The substrate in this part of Notts is several 100 metres of permeable sandstone, so getting bogged down on the grass is not normally a problem, unless we have had weeks of rain. We have occasionally taken our van there for the day to check things out. Although since we retired normally stop for a night or two at the site.

Thank you all for your comments, we had a lovely day at Clumber Park, and yes SteveL you are absolutely right, Motorhomes are allowed in the park, £3.50 per person now.

We parked up on the grass, and along came a couple more m/homes a little after us. The weather was fantastic, and a great day out.
