hi all  - I live top side of Manchester, my tow car has gone in for unexpected repairs and I don't have an estimated time frame, as I have a holiday booked and paid for in ten days time can anyone tell me if it is possible to rent a tow car for ten days, an idea of cost would be helpful- many thanks in advance bob

I would be ringing round the well know firms like Enterprise for example if you haven't already done that!

This has just happened to me , we ended up with a volvo xc60 with no tow bar and had to cancel a bank holiday break. I have been told that hire firms do supply cars with tow bars so phone around

Is >>> this <<< link of any use.  I may be wrong but, at one time, I understood that the club itself kept a list of companies who hired out vehicles fitted with towbars.

Just a slight warning - some years ago a berk back ended me about an hour before hitching up to head to France. Company car, but employer's insurance couldn't help with the tow bar requirement, Red Pennant to the rescue, but it was some 6 hours before the replacement arrived and then only had a black 7 pin connector,  had to accept due to ferry booking early next am, so no fridge whilst en route!
